WHAT IS THERAPY?
It is a helping relationship based on exploration of issues/problems, increased awareness and
understanding, thus empowering the client to make the appropriate choices and decisions in their life.
Therapists do not give advice as this goes against the principle of empowering the client. The therapist
will carry out an assessment of the problems by taking down the history of the client, identifying
symptoms, issues and client concerns, devising a psychological formulation and using relevant
interventions to help the client deal with their problems.
HOW I WORK
I am an integrative psychotherapist. My approach is psychodynamic as well as transpersonal. I collaborate with my clients and involve them in decisions about the process of therapy. I am registered and accredited by BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy).
